This is an invitation-only training to prepare qualified individuals to teach providers a rapid and systematic approach to the prehospital evaluation and management of patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Pathophysiology, clinical assessment, 12-lead ECG performance and interpretation, indications and contraindications for reperfusion therapy, and field treatment will be reviewed. This course emphasizes the standard of care as outlined in guidelines from the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. Interaction is key, through hands-on ECG performance, case-based workshops, an interactive training scenario, and the presentation of heart and lung auscultatory findings in ACS patients.
